  • Birth + Death Work

The longer I’ve consulted, the clearer my calling card has become: I help organizations navigate change, strategically, structurally, and relationally.

Drawing from my work as both a birth and death doula, I support leaders and organizations at threshold moments when something new is being born, something significant is ending, or a direction is shifting but not yet fully formed.

Sometimes that looks like serving as an executive bridge during a period of intensity or ambiguity. Sometimes it means building strategy and engagement systems that can outlast me. And sometimes it means taking ownership of important work that doesn’t yet have a clear internal home and carrying it forward with structure and momentum.

Often times, people come to me and say things like:
“Our CEO/ED is stretched thin and we need senior-level support.”
“We’re launching something important and want to do it well.”
“This initiative keeps stalling and we need structure.”
“We’re changing direction and need a clear path forward.”
“We need someone who can both think strategically and execute.”

Active Transition (Labor Support)

Most often, people say things like: “we’re in it and we need help.”

  • Interim executive support
  • Capacity bridging
  • Crisis navigation
  • Leadership transitions
  • High growth or high pressure periods

Strategic Design Before Launch (Planning)

Most often, people say things like: “we want to be intentional and get this right before we launch.”

  • Strategic planning and roadmaps
  • Community engagement systems
  • Partnership frameworks
  • Initiative design

After the Big Moment (Postpartum Integration)

Most often, people say things like: “we launched it but we need to figure out what happens now to sustain it.”

  • Systems handoff
  • People/ process/ culture integration
  • Infrastructure
  • Accountability structures

Honoring and Closing (End-of-Life Transitions)

Most often, people say things like: “we need to close the door on something without harming staff or community trust.”

  • Sunsetting programs
  • Closing initiatives with dignity
  • Transitioning leadership
  • Coalition dissolutions
  • Funding loss pivots

Life + Transition Support

This work is for people moving through moments that deserve more than "you've got this."

  • Birth & Postpartum Doulaship: Emotional, practical, and informational support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum including birth planning, labor and parenting preparation, labor support, and postpartum care. Centered on what you need, what matters to you, and making sure you feel like yourself through it all.
  • Death Midwifery & End-of-Life Support: Support for people and families facing serious illness, dying, death, and grief. This includes emotional and spiritual support, legacy work, practical guidance including end-of-life planning (wishes, directives, funerals), family logistics and respite, education on the process of death and dying, and companionship and advocacy at the bedside during the final days.
  • Transition & Threshold Support: Care for moments that don't have clear names but hold grief. In my practice this has included things like identity shifts, co-founder splits, friendship and relationship breakups, relocations, job loss, pet death, birth family reunion, limerance, and other forms of grief that doesn't fit the usual boxes.

A Note on Integration
My work, in all its forms, is centered on helping people and systems move through change with dignity, expansiveness, and grace. We all deserve to be witnessed in our transformation.
